ETSY: No place for cookie cutter fashion!
I admit I’ve only been on Etsy a handful of times and actually found the site through another blog some months back, but yesterday I decided to pay a visit and browse all the handcrafted items and it was such a treat! Of course, I found some things I absolutely adored and wanted to share in hopes that you too will take the time to visit. It amazes me how creativity can manifest itself and it’s wonderful to have a site like Etsy that let’s an artist display their work for others to appreciate!

This neckwear is so classy and chic! The bold gold coil is gorgeous!

I love this wrap! The detail is amazing and the color is wonderful! Creative and cute!

This is so edgey! I love how it shows that you can wear a plain shirt and look fantastic with this hanging around your neck. Very appealing to those who love that funky, hip, urban look! Get a closer look here!
And yes I found footwear… Nothing but High Heels of Course!
Heels that are one of a kind…..

That are works of art…

Heels made for little girls dolls…

that are odes to my obsession

Pretty in Pink: Vanessa Hudgens Floral Fantasy

Vanessa Hudgens is looking picture perfect in this pretty pink jumper by Rebecca Taylor. This is definitely going to be a hot look for spring, not just due to it being one of the hottest colors for spring/summer 2009, but this little jumper is classy and cute! It’s extra feminine and the flowing fabric drapes the body perfectly leaving you feeling chic and oh-so fabulous! The Brian Atwood pumps help pull her look together while the outfit as a whole shows off her fabulous legs . I’m so jealous of the yams and I want this whole outfit in my closet pronto! I’ll definitely be on Ebay searching. Vanessa is proving herself to be quite the fashionista, showing the world that she’s all grown up and capable of working the red carpet with the best of them. My only question is don’t you think beau Zac Effron would have completed the look, cause let’s face it, he’s the perfect accessory to any girls arm!

Rihanna rocks fashion like no other!
Rihanna is surely a beast when it comes to fashion! Edgy, urban, and in a league of her own she rocks fashion like she was born to do it, and I guess it’s safe to say she was! She combines urban street-wear with a lil’ rock & roll and the look totally works for her, leaving me a little envious of Chris Brown’s ex. I mean there are things that she’s been spotted in that you know no one else could pull off, no matter how hard they tried and that in itself leaves me speechless over her fashion style. Seen wearing diamond cutout leggings by Rodarte, I ask myself who else would look good in these, the answer is a resounding NO ONE! Her style totally fits her persona and though some of her fashion choices are a little extreme that dosen’t change the fact that she has undeniable style when it comes to fashion. Rihanna is definitely the “good girl” to go to when you trying to market the “bad girl” image!

Rihanna wearing leggings by Rodarte priced at $920.00. How much would you spend for a fashion statement? I have to say there is no way I would spend that much for leggings, but Rihanna works them well. I do though, absolutely LOVE the jacket and am on a mission to obtain it… donations anyone?!
Look-Alike Alert
Steve Madden Women’s Evelina Boot

RiRi seen here leaving the airport in Hawaii looking oh-so stylish. I love everything about this outfit. What I love the most is that she has on a pair of booties I’m dying to get my hands on! I featured a look-alike pair in Flowers Bloom in Spring and Beautiful Shoes are Born. They are available at Dune Shoes.

These are a few bootie picks I feel Rihanna would totally rock!
Michelle Obama & Camilla Skovgaard: What a Beautiful Combination

I absolutely love this picture of the first lady Michelle Obama! I have been brainstorming of a way I could use it in relation to my blog and as I was going through the pictures I’ve collected of shoes I am lusting over at the moment and I came across this exotic and absolutely stunning shoe designed by the lovely Camilla Skovgaard whom I just can’t seem to get enough of. Her designs leave me in awe and quite frankly drooling at the mouth over their pure luxuriousness. I love the color of Michelle’s top and if anyone can identify it please let me know. When I look at Mrs. Obama in this picture I see a woman of class, who is educated, polished, and confident. She looks as though she can command your attention simply by walking into a room and the same can definitely be said about this jaw dropping shoe. So, what do you think? Do you think this shoe is fitting for a first lady? I’m not sure what the style critics would say as it may not be appropriate for her to have her toes out and all, but I sure think they’re a winning combination! The shoe is available at shopbop.com and is also available in black. It’s one of my favorite sites to go to and fiend over shoes, but if you’re a shoe junkie like me enter with caution, as it will definitely fuel the fire of your addiction.
Nothing but Heels: Shoe Deal of the Day
Shoe Deal of the Day
The shoe deal of the day oddly enough happens to be a shoe I just showcased yesterday in blue in my post Flowers Bloom in Spring and Beautiful Shoes are Born. This is a very cute shoe in a very popular color for spring. It will a little touch of sparkle to your wardrobe and is absolutely stunning on your feet. The shoe is made by Steve Madden and is also available in colors black and very beautiful blue. It has a 1 ½ inch wood platform, and 5 inch stacked heel so all you high heel lovers check it out and let me know what you think the Shoe Deal of the Day.
Flowers Bloom in Spring and Beautiful Shoes are Born
Spring has arrived and summer is fast approaching which means it’s time for most of us to update our wardrobes. That of course involves my favorite thing, shoe shopping! I use the seasons changing as an excuse to justify my shopping trips to my husband and really, who can argue with the fact that by the time the season ends and comes back around again there truly is a need for some new items. At any rate, when purchasing additions for my closet I like to know which colors are popular and are considered the “must-haves” for the moment because like any fashionista, I love having a polished updated look. For Spring 2009, colors everyone should have in their wardrobe are going to consist of beautiful, bold, jewel toned colors inspired by things like nature and the bohemian look that is so popular right now. Vivid colors that pop will be seen everywhere from fashion runways to urban street corners and will manifest itself in jewelry, clothing, and of course footwear!
Here are some color swatches that were released pertaining to color trends.

Now, of all the colors shown above the beautiful cobalt blue is the one your wardrobe should not be without! It is definitely considered a “must-have”. If you thumb through a current issue of any fashion magazine lining your grocery store shelf you will see this color and it’s variations outlining the pages. Blue is a color that represents tranquility and is considered to be a very soothing color. With that said, I’ve put together a few footwear favorites in this amazing color to “soothe the sole”… of your feet that is!

A Free Shoegasm for Everyone… My love affair with Heels!
Being in love with shoes and truly having a love affair with them is a beautiful courtship for a shoe junkie. The pure beauty, creativity, and craftsmanship that goes into some of the delicacies that we have the privilege of slipping onto our feet is at times amazing and breath taking! Never-mind that some can delight in finer delicacies, because a true junkie can see and appreciate shoe art made for all collectors and can appreciate a good fix at a reasonable cost because let’s face it, to us it’s about… Nothing but Heels!

“Go Glam or Go Home” Shoe of the Day

- Ynes by: Pour La Victoire
| If you love glamour then this is the perfect pump for you! I just absolutely love the color of this pump which is a rose gold hue that would look perfect paired with a pair of skinny jeans for an urban chic look or little black dress for a more formal style approach. The picture just doesn’t do the shoe any justice! Now… I know that for all the sensible shoe wearers this pump is a little over-the-top, but every woman should have at least one pair of “Hollywood” heels in her closet to play dress up in. Never mind that this is coming from the mouth of an absolute shoe junkie.. lol! Drew Barrymore was featured on the cover of Elle’s May 2009 issue wearing a Gucci dress that would look great with these if you happen to have $5,000.00 to blow. |
Check Drew out on the cover

What’s a Fashionista U Ask?!
Fashionista is a descriptive term being used to describe modern style conscious women everywhere. The “Fashionista” is fashion forward keeping up with current styles, upcoming trends, and the latest in fashion news. In all shapes colors, and sizes Fashionistas help shape the fashion world; molding it like clay and then incorporating it into their everyday lives. Creating styles, inventing looks, and expressing themselves through something they love… FASHION!
I AM A FASHIONISTA!

The Evolution of the Gladiator
Ok! So I think everyone is pretty much over the whole gladiator trend right now, but before you dismiss this look completely take a look at how this style is expected to evolve this upcoming season and you may just have a change of heart and give this trend a second chance. Though the traditional gladiator look will be dubbed as passe’ the trend will take on a whole new look influenced by the sandals strappiness. The new look will play off the same concept, but the designs will be updated to create a fresh new look for the season. The grecian look will be toned down and translated into styles that are more versatile to wear which may be a good thing for those who were never fond of the look to begin with.
